The Emiratis have left out Junaid Siddique, opting for Zahoor Khan, Muhammad Jawadullah and the extra pace option of revelation Ali Nasser. Sri Lanka vs United Arab Emirates: Match exercise as Sri Lanka and United Arab Emirates will both be out to kickstart their ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023 crusade with a palm
Sri Lanka come into the match as hot favourites, though the event is unchartered home for the platoon, having been automatic qualifiers for the Men’s ICC Justice World Cup since the 1983 edition. By discrepancy, UAE are nearly part of the Qualifier cabinetwork, and the ICC jewel which anteceded it. They have contended at every Qualifying event since 1994, and look to progress to the main field in 2023 like they did for the 2015 event in Australia.

Sri Lanka vs United Arab Emirates, 6th Match, Group A – Live Cricket Score, Commentary

A low- scoring suspenser followed by a one- sided hassle in Geelong moment. UAE are each purely out of the race for the Super 12s. The top two brigades qualify for the coming stage and NRR is largely likely to decide the positions in this group. presently, Sri Lanka(0.600) have a better NRR than Netherlands(0.149) and a palm should be enough for the Asian titleholders to progress. On that note, it’s time to bring the curtains down. Join us hereafter for the Group B double- title. Until also, farewell.

Dasun Shanaka They( crowd) are following us far and wide we go. I’d like to thank them. Really disappointed with the way we ended the innings( with the club). We could have scored 180- 190. The tone was set outspoken, but Bhanu( Bhanuka Rajapaksa) and I did not click. It was important to crack with a palm, we concentrated on a palm only. He( Pathum Nissanka) is outstanding, his focus is to club through the innings. I am happy for him.( When asked about Chameera’s injury) Hopefully everything will be fine.

Chundangapoyil Rizwan We allowed it was a decent score. We could have done a better job in the first innings while bowling, but we came back really well. We kept them under check. We allowed it was a decent score to chase.( On Meiyappan) He sailed beautifully. To get a chapeau- trick in a WC is special. He is a special bowler. We play in hot conditions like 45 degrees. To play then, it’s different. We’re trying to acclimatize as important as possible. Our batsmen could not get going. They( SL) showed their experience. We’ve to work on our chops and try to come back with a better show.

Pathum Nissanka| Player of the Match Along with Kusal, managed to get a good cooperation and make a good innings. Happy to have played an innings like this in the World Cup and want to thank the crowd.

2229 Original Time, 1129 GMT, 1659 IST A dominating palm for Sri Lanka and they demanded this after the trouncing they entered at the hands on Namibia in the event- nature. Barring the phase where they lost four lattices for three runs within seven balls, courtesy Karthik Meiyappan’s chapeau- trick, the Islanders were enough much on top throughout the game. Pathum Nissanka’s 74 powered them to 152 and that turned out to be further than enough. With the ball, Dushmantha Chameera set the tone outspoken with three quick lattices. He rattled UAE’s top- order with pace and they could not recover from that. Wickets kept falling as UAE set up the going tough both against pace and spin. Chameera and Hasaranga picked three all and the other bowlers minced in as well. Sri Lanka will be bothered about Chameera’s injury however. Let’s hope it is not a serious bone . donations coming up in a bit.
